Ko Lante Before Phuket
As mentioned before, there is not much to do in Ko Lante. It's very laid back, even for us Cape Townians. Nothing much to do. So I hired the poegie again and decided to drive around, after sleeping in the hammock again. We bought a phone card in the beginning of the holiday, but didn't know how much the calls costed or what the number to the phone was. Now that phone has been stolen. I still have mine here but no Thai sim-card. We still have to organise the bus trip to Phuket, the idea is that I feel we have been enough in the sun, sister disagrees though. This is instead of taking a ferry again. They about the same cost, but I would like to see more of the inland. Very beautiful more inland. It's so much greener and more secluded. The place we are staying at now is so chilled. There are two places to eat and two bars. This afternoon I played pool against the locals. Was very fun... Couldn't really chat to them though. The language barrier is rather large if you don't want something touristy. Everyone can eventually see the photos before we get back. My sister has got them burnt off onto a cd. So when she remembers to bring the cd when we are on the internet I'll create a post with just some pictures or add them in with some descriptions, leave me an comment on what you would prefer, stacks of photos all together or single photos with descriptions or a mixture of both. I cannot however offload the video footage yet. Takes time and I would have to edit it. Sorry for you, you'll have to wait. The two bars at the bungalouws are on the beach, took some footage of that, so are the resturants. There is a cave around here somewhere and a pool in the cave. It's a hike about 30min from the road and a absail down into the caverns. We didn't do that today. My sister went for a walk and did some more shopping, whereas I slept on the hammocks because this place is just too relaxing. I can seriously say to anyone who smokes weed that why do you need herb when you can just do this. I'm currently trying to find a toilet that flushes, instead of having to use a bucket of water to flush the toilet. So far I haven't needed to use toilet paper but I think that I can hold out to tomorrow. Also only some of the ATM's here give you a balance of how much money you have left on your card. It's been a while since I saw my balance and would like to know what it is. Apparently you can check it on the net, but standard bank have the worst navigation system... *sigh* wish we didn't have to go back to Phuket, but oh well... Phuket it is, heeha...

i'd personally prefer pics with descriptions. but that doesn't mean you can't post lots of pics under one general description.
